The Gallery is delighted to announce that both Zilvinas Kempinas and Jaime Pitarch have been selected for the upcoming Manifesta7 exhibition opening in July.

This important European biennial, which first took place in Rotterdam in 1996 and moves throughout Europe to different locations every two years, takes place this year in the stunning surroundings of the South Tyrol in Italy, in Fortezza, Bolzano, Trento, and Rovereto – four cities spread out along the historic Brenner Pass through the Alps. The region, which has variously formed part of the Roman Empire, the Kingdom of the Goths, the Veronese and Venitian Republics, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire over the centuries, should make for a fascinating historical and cultural context for the over 140 artist’s projects taking place in the four venues.

Manifesta7 is curated by Adam Budak; Anselm Franke/Hila Peleg; and the Raqs Media Collective, each masterminding, respectively, the venues at Rovereto, Trento, and Bolzano, while all of the curators work collaboratively on the exhibition in Fortezza.
